WANTS TO START

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has stated that he wants to start the FA Cup final against Hull City and help the team bring an end to the trophy drought, which has haunted them for a long time. Arsenal have not won a major trophy since 2005, which has been a huge criticism of the club.

However, after signing several experienced players over the last few years, it seems that the club are starting to reap the benefits. They have reached the FA Cup final for the first time in a long time, but they also have a great opportunity to win the competition itself.

Unlike in previous seasons, the other end of the FA Cup final will be Hull City. After getting promoted from the championship in the summer, Steve Bruce’s men will not be the favourites for the win. They have reached the stage of the competition after a 5-3 win over Sheffield United in the semifinals.

Arsenal have already beaten Hull 3-0 in the Premier league which gives them great confidence to go on and lift the title, according to the nederland spanje odds website. Szczesny, though, says that the club will not underestimate Hull and that he wants to start and help his team mates win the trophy.

Backup goalkeeper Fabianski has been impressing recently with his performances.

“I would love to play but it’s the manager’s decision. It’s up to him. I think Lukasz has done really well and he deserves a lot of credit. I’m an Arsenal fan and I just want us to get the trophy. For us, it’s important to get a trophy and hopefully we can appease everyone at the club,” said the Polish goalkeeper. Since Fabianski is almost certain to leave the club at the end of the season, Wenger may decide to go for Szczesny in order to provide the youngster with confidence.
