While Arsene Wenger still continues on landing a loan deal for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata, there are other players which are on the radar of the Scottish coach. Schalke’s Julian Draxler has quickly become a target not only of Arsenal but clubs from all around the globe as Draxler has impressed everyone in this season.
The problems that Wenger might face involving the signing of Draxler is his release clause which is €45 million and considering all the clubs that want to secure his services, his price tag will easily increase.
Schalke however will consider not selling Draxler in this transfer window as they are trying to secure a spot at the top of the Bundesliga and have to face opponents such as Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich it would be a wise decision to have a player with the caliber of Draxler in the club and would be better off offloading him during the summer.
Paul Pogba was another player linked with Arsenal as the Frenchman said that joining Arsenal has always been a boyhood dream of his but according to the general director of Juventus, Giuseppe Marotta, they have no intentions on selling him anytime soon.
“We have a strong and functional group and we don’t want to sell anyone,” said Marotta. At this time there is no possibility of selling Pirlo and Pogba, even if Pirlo will soon be out of contract.”
The French youngster of Juventus has displayed flashes of brilliance but still has not fully exploded into the scene and the Italian club is willing on waiting for him to show his true potential instead of releasing him from the club, considering Pogba is only 20 years old he still has plenty of time to develop and grow with the team.
