Pierre Aubameyang has become a sort of headache for Arsenal. The Gabonese was recently stripped of the captain’s armband while also missing a few games for disciplinary reasons. To complicate matters, he went with the Gabon side to the African Nations Cup only to be sent back home for disciplinary reasons.
Aubameyang is bad news lately, and the North London club is running out of patience. The frontman is currently one of the highest-paid players in the premier league, he’s on £350,000-a-week which would be a huge barrier in any attempt to force the player out. Arsenal has been linked to Dusan Vlahovic as they try to sign a striker that would be committed to their cause.
Saudi Arabian side Al Nassar has offered to sign the player on a loan deal until the end of the season. Arsenal has already confirmed that they would be considering offers for their highest-paid players, and would more than welcome the opportunity to save needed funds on a loan deal for the striker.
The loan deal would also come with an obligation to buy, which would be massive news for Arsenal as they seek to do a player that has caused them a lot of problems over the last 24 months. For Aubameyang, this would be the perfect opportunity to leave the gruesome attention that comes with playing in the best league in the world.
Though Aubameyang has played 15 times this season, while also chipping in four league goals. He has not featured for Arteta since December 6th, when he featured in the game against Everton, a game that ended in a 2*1 defeat. Aubameyang is currently in London, as he seeks to recover from complications of Covid19 that he tested positive to while in camp with Gabon at the AFCON.
