Arsenal are reported to still be interested in a number of forwards to join the Emirates this summer, ahead of the forthcoming season.
The club lost out in the race to sign the Premier League second best goal scorer in the last season in Jamie Vardy as he opted to remain at the King Power Stadium.
There are still a number of player linked to Arsenal aside Alvaro Morata, which seems to be the top on the list after the club offered to double his weekly wages if he joins them this summer. The Gunners are still keen on Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain. There were reports recently that the player said he would not be renewing his contract with the Serie A giant when it ends in 2018. Then reports were rife that Arsenal could offer him a pre-deal to sign him when he decides to leave, especially after lost the chance to land the Argentine a while back.
There are lot of reports linking Arsenal to Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette. The player scored 21 goals in the last season in the French Ligue 1. English Premier League team West Ham are reported to also keen on landing the player from the French side but they have not yet improved their bid to reach his asking price of £43.5m. There are reports that Wenger will make a swoop for the player if the Morata deal doesn’t go through.
Sky sources also report that Arsenal could be the reason for the delay of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from joining Man City this summer. The player who won the Bundesliga Player of the Year has been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid and City but Arsenal are also interested in the player.
There’s also Riyad Mahrez of Leicester. The play maker has been linked with a move to Arsenal but the player is yet to decide.
